- m. a law term, an inheritance to which there is no heir alive, Gþl. 282, N. G. L. i. 49; cp. Hkv. Hjörv. 11, where aldauðraarfr is a mis-reading; the meaning of the passage hyggsk a. ráða is, that he would destroy them to the last man.
